Watched some scenes of 'Avatar' movie yesterday. Few thoughts that came across:
1. The Na'vi say that every person is born twice. The second time is when you earn your place among the people, forever.
Is this 'Dvija' (twice-born) concept of Hindus?
2. Utraya mokri - the Tree of Voices. The voices of ancestors in the movie.
According to Hindu belief, ancestors wake up in Uttarayana (from January 14 for six months )
Not sure if it's my wild imagination or James Cameroon got this much inspired by Hindu mythology?
