Awesome IPL-2 Ad
Liked this awesome ad for IPL-2 season scheduled to be coming on Sony Max. The best thing i liked is the ad shows the things as we are. Thats the way we are and period, whether someone else likes it or not. But still there are so many doubts if IPL-2 will be 'on' or not and even if its 'On', will it be in India or outside India? Also there's some lega1 battle between Sony & IPL for telecast rights. 'Breaking News' from News channels is saying that South Africa is being considered as an option. I dont know how the crowds their can relate themseleves to 'Mumbai Indians' or 'Chennai Super Kings'. The 'connection' is obviously a big thing to support a team or enjoy a game.
Coming to this cricket IPL's collision with the political IPL (Indian Political League) i.e Elections - Its tricky to take a stand here. Its obvious that the Jihadi forces will try to attack IPL to prove a point that India is no better than Pakistan in security. That damage is far more than any financial loss caused by shifting IPL-2 outside India. I think the team franchise's will lose the money they get from the tickets sold. Eden gardens can seat 100K people and they can get filled in easily. I think South African grounds can accomodate a max of 40K and its another point if they get really filled in.
